Take It Slow !

In all of my 20 something years of playing the keyboard and piano , I couldn't stress anything more
than I would this ," Take It Slow ". One big problem with learning to play the piano is that most of
the time people come in the lesson expecting to be a pro by the end of the very first lesson . And
when they can't play their favorite song at the end of the first day , they get discouraged . Some
people even quit . Realistically it may take a couple of lessons before displeasure in ones personal
progress begins to set in . But when this happens it leaves the piano student feeling displeased and
aggravated  . Well ,the root of the problem is simply unrealistic expectation . It doesn't matter
what style of piano your trying to learn ; classical ,jazz, blues ,gospel , etc....   you have to take it
slow . Take it at a speed that you can handle . Believe me learning to play things slowly and correctly
at first will soon turn into lighting piano licks and chords that sound like Houdini magic . It's not !
going to happen over night ,but stick with it . Commit to a least 6 months and set realistic goals
for your self . It's defiantly worth the wait . But remember take thing SLOW at first . For more Goto:
